Atticus Premium Museum Chardonnay - Atticus Wines

Atticus Premium Museum Chardonnay

A delightfully complex wine that is Burgundian in style with savoury notes on the nose highlighting its barrel ferment character. Elegance and finesse are immediately evident on the lingering palate, with nectarine and white peach running alongside nutty creamy notes. A bright acidity lifts and enhances the wine and leaves you longing for more.

+

Tasting notes: Intense tight and precise, with high-quality melon and citrus/grapefruit flavours driving through the long palate and finish, oak a mere garnish.

Tasting notes: Enticing aromas of spiced French pear and nectarine on the nose with notes of savoury nutty oak on the palate encased in lashings of ripe supple fruit. Minimal winemaking interference shows through in its purity of fruit, with interesting complexity in the form of its seamless structure and heavenly marriage of fruit and toasty oak. As always with our Atticus Chardonnay, this is Burgundian in style with a focus on elegance, finesse and a lovely lingering finish.

Tasting notes: Bright straw- green: an intense and tightly focussed bouquet and palate, with grapefruit and nectarine at the centre, quality french oak on the periphery: very long finish.

Tasting notes: Vibrant green hue; nectarine grapefruit and lots of attractive oak from judicious oak handling; the zesty acidity provides a lively palate that is direct and long, powerful and precise; a complex and heady blend of power and finesse the west is becoming famous for.

95 Margaret River, Western Australia 750ml, Screw cap 13.8 8.2

Tasting notes: Mid green-gold the complex bouquet displays grapefruit, nectarine and quality barrel-fermented oak; the fluid and very well balanced, medium bodied palate offers generous levels of fruit, good acidity and a long finish.

94 Margaret River, Western Australia 750ml, Screw cap 13.4 7.9

Tasting notes: As much about elegance as power, though there's certainly no shortage of the latter. Such clean lines here. Lactose, dry pear, apple, oatmeal and white peach. There's oak here but it's seamlessly woven. Fluid finish. Beautiful expression of Margaret River.

96 Margaret River, Western Australia 750ml, Screw cap 13.3 7.8

Tasting notes: Hand Picked Gin Gin clone, the balance of fruit, oak, acidity is so immaculate it is a pointless exercise to try to deconstruct their contributions. However the white peach and pink grapefruit flavours are as clear as a bell on the back – palate and aftertaste, the finish fresh and clean. Masterful winemaking.

Tasting notes: Very small quantities of this wine made unfortunately. The wine is tight and intense which will ensure it ages well, some citrus to compliment the stone fruit and fine oak. Finishing with beautiful length and natural acid.
