Grape Varieties: Sauvignon blanc 72%; semillon 28% No surprises with the colour – Pale yellow with green edges. Hallmark citrus and grass / nettle-driven aromatics – there’s a tease of white stone fruits – but unmistakably the classic MR Blend. The palate shows balance – concentration of ripe fruit – and more than a little texture. I won’t wax lyrical – as it doesn’t command that style of critique. Everything in its right place – it’s a lovely glass of wine.

Tasting notes: A blend of 90% Sauv Blanc and 10% Semillon this is a powerful example of this blend. The colour is a vibrant yellow with beautiful aromatics on the nose. Powerful flavours of sauvignon blanc are dominant on the palate with the semillon just adding a little bit of backbone and complexity to round out the wine This blend is normally a drink now style but with a year or two in the bottle will develop some very attractive secondary characters.
